The Town of Lynnville has begun the federally mandated Service Line Inventory for all of our water customers. This week a letter was mailed out to households in which the material of water line service into a home is unknown. NOT EVERY customer will receive this letter. Some homes have been eliminated from potentially having a lead service line due to the construction year of the home. These homes were constructed after 1986, are known to lines replaced after that date or previously documented information. Collecting data is the first phase of the process. If you received a letter there will be future investigative work to identify the materials used in your service line. A survey will be sent out to ALL households in the upcoming weeks, we ask you to complete the questionnaire and return it as soon as possible. This includes the homes that have received the initial letter sent out this week. We will utilize the data collected from all homes/buildings/structures for future grants and funding to cover the replacement costs of both private and public qualifying water lines. The EPA has developed an online guide to help people identify lead pipes in their homes called Protect Your Tap. More information on this guide maybe found at: www.epa.gov/ground-water-and-drinking-water/protect-your-tap-quick-check-lead (Or a "protect your tap" google search). This mandate targets removing lead water lines from homes which are known to have adverse health effects. Additional information on the adverse health aspect of drinking from a lead water line may be found at: www.epa.gov/lead We will continue to update you as we progress through the mandate. Update: 9:30 am Water customers east of the intersection on 68 and south on 61 are on a precautionary boil advisory. Sorry for the inconvenience again.
The information I have received to this point. First the water tie-ins are complete for the relocated water line. Second if you lost water pressure last night (along ST RD 68 or intersection of 68/61) consider yourself on a boil advisory until probably Thursday. This was supposed to affect only 5 preidentified and notified water customers but it appears more customers on ST RD 68 were affected. I estimate the advisory to be in affect until Thursday. Thank you and sorry for hopefully the last inconvenience with this water line project. ... See MoreSee Less

Is there an approximate location of residence or who should be on a boil advisory? Or everyone to be safe?
